Steve has been a professional pianist and educator for the past 35 years. He has performed with countless talented musicians and celebrities including Jay Leno, Smokey Robinson and more! As an international performer he has appeared in venues including; Theatres, Cruise Ships, Resorts, Night Clubs and Supper Clubs, Convention halls and concert halls, as well as over 1000 weddings.
With extensive knowledge of vocal music from Musical Theatre to Lyric Opera, Steve is well suited to train vocalists in the most effective vocal techniques to elevate your abilities. His students go on to sing in concerts, recitals, musicals and more with the confidence that they are singing with proper technique and mastery of the music they are performing.
Steve teaches hundreds of students A WEEK! As a certified music educator Steve teaches young students the building blocks of music and sets many on the path of life long music making. For some of his students he provides the needed instruction to master piano or voice. With a strong belief that everyone can and should learn music Steve has impacted thousands of students all across the nation!
Steve loves to teach students of all ages and backgrounds. It is never to late to explore an instrument and learn music. Steve has shared his unique talents and love of music with thousands of students to date from all walks of life. Whether they go on to pursue a career in music or not, they will all hold a special place in their heart for the music they encounter in their daily lives, and the teacher who continues to inspire them.

On his mission to share the gift of music with students of all ages, Steve opened Steve Hollis Music in Los Angeles! Here he teaches students ranging from 5 years old to over 60. These students also range from highly experience to beginners. They all love music and love learning more from Steve each week. Hear what they have to say!
Steve is a life long learner and loves to share that passion with his students. With a Bachelor of Music Education (vocal/Instrumental k-12), a Masters of Arts with a music curriculum emphasis, and several State Music Certifications to his credit, Steve had been happily teaching his love of music both publicly and privately for years. Among his most rewarding encounters has been the integration of the deaf and hard of hearing students into his music classes.
He has music directed full Broadway style productions in several Equity Theatres in Chicago. Equally at home with jazz, pop and classical styles Steve has performed and conducted extensively throughout the United States as both a solo artist, with his trio, big bands and pit orchestras.
